The South Pacific country, Tahiti, will soon enjoy the fast connection using 3G. Nokia Siemens Network, second largest network vendor, is elected to implement 3G coverage for Mara Telecom and other French Polynesian islands. The deal is not disclosed.
Tahiti is the most populated island in French Polynesian. 178 thousands people are living in 1045 km2 area. Until now, Tahiti residents are also recognized as French citizen.
