Nokia to group all key suppliers in Chennai

Due to the move of Aspocomp and Wintek to telecom park in Chennai, Nokia has already gathered their key suppliers near the manufacturing plant. This move will cut the distribution cost.
The key suppliers are Salcomp for charges, Wintek for LCDs, Aspocomp for printed circuit boards, Larid for internal antennas, Jabil for plastic components, Foxconn for mechanics and Perlos for plastic components.
Currently the plant in Chennai is producing low end phones. There is possibility that they will produce mid-high level phone during next several years.
