Elektrobit Satellite Phone
Probably, most of us never heard anything called Elektrobit. Neither do I actually. Elektrobit is a Finnish company, like Nokia, which specialize in wireless telecommunication and automotive. They announced to launch satellite phone in 2009 or 2010, that will be equipped with latest HSDPA technology.
The phone is uniquely created as today’s invention. It has no antenna, as previous Ericsson satellite phone, and formed like Motorola’s Q series. It will be powered with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile OS. Other features include 3 megapixels camera, bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS.
Of course this is a prototype. We need to wait for another 1-2 years for trying the phone in the jungle or in the middle of ocean.
